Its’ sunny equatorial climate and fertile well-watered soil sustains an enchanting selection of wildlife, ranging from elephants to monkeys and marine turtles to crocodiles, as well as hundred colorful bird and butterfly species. Mount Afadjato is the highest mountain in Ghana, at an altitude of 885 metres (2,904 ft). The mountain is located in the Agumatsa Range near the villages of Liati Wote and Gbledi, in the Volta Region of Ghana at the border with Togo.
According to sources, the name of the mountain derives from the Ewe word Avadzeto, meaning "at war with bush." The name derives from the presence on the mountainside of a plant causing severe skin irritation.
The nearby Tagbo Falls and Wli Falls (the highest in West Africa) are also considered tourist attractions.

Ghana pulsates with life from the bustle of downtown Accra to the atmospheric adobe villages of the north. It is a country whose immense culture diversity both thrills and fascinates visitors, drawing them into a daily rhythm that is uniquely and unmistakably African. A common feature of all Ghanaian culture is a love of festivals and celebrations, while everyday personal events such as funerals, naming ceremonies and weddings tend also to be imbued with something of a carnival atmosphere.
